Healthy Walks

Today we completed Healthy Walk number 1. With P4/5 we began our tour of the most scenic and beautiful walks in Inverclyde. Today it was along the esplanade. This is a walk we have obviously done recently with our efforts for Sport Relief but it was a lovely day and very nice to get out along the mile-long walk along the banks of the Clyde. The esplanade is a very poopular place for walkers, joggers and cyclists who enjoy keeping fit along it. Today it was 26 pupils from P4-P7!

New Playground Equipment

Primary 6/7 are now responsible for the new playground equipment at playtimes.

A new area quiet area with picnic benches has also been created over the holidays.

Health & Well-being Trips

This term, April to June 2010, we are going to be using the (hopefully) good weather and planning some 'healthy walks' on our trip days. This will tie in with many of the Health and Wellbeing outcomes. They will also provide a great way of looking at the beauty of the environment in and around Inverclyde. The dates are outlined below. For each walk the children should come to school in trip uniform, always with a waterproof jacket and sturdy shoes suitable for walking the route for that day. They should also bring snacks and plenty of juice or water. On some of the days they may also require a packed lunch. For some of these days we will be joined by P4/5. These should be great fun and we look forward to putting some great photos on the blog!
