Primary 6/7 have been making athletic sculptures out of Mod Roc in art and design, They had to make the basic shape out of wire and then cover it with wire mess to make it 3D and more realistic. After this they used Mod Roc (which is like the plaster you get when you break a bone) to cover the shape. This was very messy, and needless to say, great fun. They completed the sculptures by spray painting them with gold or silver paint.
This project was inspired by the fantastic shapes and moves that the class have been doing in gymnastics.

Looks like you all had great fun. I have Aimee's Athletic model in pride of place on my bedroom window ledge:)
I loved doing mod roc but I kept hurting myself with the wire.
