Solly's African Food Store

By comparing the lifestyle and culture of citizens in another country with those of Scotland, I can discuss the similarities and differences.
SOC 2-19a

I can manage money, compare costs from different retailers, and determine what I can afford to buy.

Primary 6/7 had a fantastic trip to Solly's African Food Store on Great Western Road. The store manager showed us a range of foods from all over Africa.

The children bought plantains (look like bananas but taste more like potatoes), eggs plants, yams, beef biltong, plantine crisps and all sorts strange and wonderful delights.

The pupils had a fantastic time and learned loads about African foods.
