A Visit from Mr Creighton

I can use and interpret electronic and paper-based timetables and schedules to plan events and activities, and make time calculations as part of my planning.

Today Mr Creighton visited P6/7 to see how they are getting on with their maths work. He gave the pupils a hand with the challenge that I set them today.

The Task

Little Jock McSlob has arrived home from school and had made himself comfortable on his favourite couch. Armed with cola, crisps and chocolate he is ready for an afternoon and evening of quality television viewing.

What shows can Jock watch between 3.30pm and 8.00pm?

The pupils had to use TV guides to help them with the task. They were asked to record the time the programme started and the length of the shows.
