Creating Exciting Stories
In story writing today Primary 6/7 were learning about the importance of creating a good plot. The class were split in groups of 3 or 4 and were asked to study the picture below. They were then asked to create a story that would go with this picture. The results were very interesting.
Aimee was working with Jack and Marc.
Finlay was working with Rebecca and Declan.
Matthew was working with Kathryn, Mete and Olivia.
Lyle was working with Maryka and Christopher.

these ideas sound great well done everyone johanna
Some great ideas today. The pupils were working in groups so they had to use everybody ideas and I ask for one member of the group to feed back to the class. I recorded this and put it on the blog.
I like the way this work has been put on the blog. I thought the stories were all very good and I am very glad to be able to see Finlay's work like this.

I'm glad you like it. This was a fun lesson and the pupils worked really well in their small groups to come up with these interesting plots.
Next week the class will be using the techniques taught over the last 3 weeks to write their own stories.
I am looking forward to this.
What a lot of imagination all the children have! I really enjoyed listening to their story lines.
